Five Clarkston High School seniors made the two hour journey to Walla Walla, Washington on Thursday November 14th to the award winning community college. Walla Walla Community College has been named a 2013 “Top Community College in the Nation” by the Aspen Institute.
The Clarkston students had varying academic interests ranging from Farrier Science, Agri-business, nursing, and business. WWCC’s Melissa Harrison coordinated the visit with a number of programs and staff. The Auto Repair program challenged the students to test their skills at painting an automobile which they cheerfully attempted. Two of the students also met with WWCC coaches as they are interested in continuing as student-athletes at the college. All five seniors found the trip worth while and view WWCC as a viable option for the start of their college experience.
